About the game

A Sudoku board here has 81 cells, arranged in nine rows, nine columns and nine blocks of 3x3. A handful of cells come with digits already written in, and the rest are blank for you to complete.

The rule holds everywhere on the grid: digits 1 through 9 appear once in each row, once in each column and once in each 3x3 block. You pick a difficulty level before you begin. Click a cell, click a number, and if you are unsure press Notes to mark candidates without placing anything. Wrong entries are possible, so check the lines around a digit before you commit.

How to play

  • Click the cell you want to fill, then click a number from 1 to 9.
  • Press the Notes button to mark possible numbers in a cell without placing them.
  • No digit may repeat in a row, a column or a 3x3 block.
  • Choose a difficulty level, and watch out for mistakes as you fill.
