About the game
Master Checkers brings the classic board game to a diagonal grid of dark squares, with Italian checkers rules and three ways to find a rival: the machine, a friend sharing your device, or a stranger connected online.
Ordinary pieces shuffle sideways across the board toward the far edge and never retreat. Taking a piece means hopping it and landing on the empty dark square past it, and one turn can string several hops together. An open jump cannot be refused, which turns quiet positions into forced decisions. Any piece that stops on the row farthest from you earns a crown and moves both ways.
How to play
- Tap one of your pieces, then a dark square diagonally ahead of it. Normal pieces only step toward the far side.
- To capture, hop over an opponent's piece and land on the empty dark square just beyond it; several hops can follow in one turn.
- If a jump is open to you, you have to take it before you move anything else.
- Land a piece on the row farthest from you and it becomes a king, free to travel forward or backward.
