About the game

Word Solitaire replaces suits and numbers with words and categories, so every level is a partly built table waiting for the right cards. You pull cards from the deck one by one and decide where each one fits on the board.

A stack only starts once its category card is down. After that, the words that share its meaning can join, and the set is complete when they are all in place. Reading the board before you place anything is the real work here: a card that looks useless now may finish a stack later.

How to play

  • Tap or click a card to pick it up and place it on the board.
  • Put the category card down first; only then can word cards join that stack.
  • Add every word that belongs to the category to finish the set.
  • Draw cards from the deck one by one as you build.
